PROGRAM.png

The MHR Program is the global engine of youth-led mental health transformation.

Built by and for young people, it empowers a new generation to lead change where systems fall short — offering tools, training, and platforms for support, healing, and advocacy. Rooted in empathy and equity, the program redefines mental health not as a service delivered to youth, but a movement led by them. From refugee camps to classrooms, from policy tables to peer groups, the MHR Program is where lived experience becomes leadership — and where global change begins, one voice at a time.

Joing MHR Network

The MHR Program is a comprehensive model for youth mental health support that can be implemented in schools, community centers, humanitarian settings, and anywhere young people need empathy, structure, and real care. Rooted in evidence-based practices and led by trained youth leaders, the program empowers young people to provide meaningful psychosocial support to their peers.

It offers a flexible framework for delivering workshops, peer support groups, anti-stigma campaigns, and crisis-responsive interventions tailored to local needs. Scalable and context-sensitive, the MHR Program has been successfully adapted in refugee communities, education systems, and post-crisis environments. With MHR, any organization can build a youth-driven mental health support network—grounded in empathy, knowledge, and collective action.

The MHR Network brings together youth, organizations, researchers, educators, and institutions who share a common belief: that mental health is a human right and young people must be at the center of the solution. Across continents, cultures, and crises, our network fosters meaningful collaboration, knowledge sharing, and coordinated action to advance youth-led mental health efforts.

By joining the MHR Network, you become part of a global community shaping the future of mental health — through dialogue, innovation, research, and policy advocacy. Members gain access to global forums, training exchanges, pilot initiatives, and collective campaigns that drive systemic change. Whether you're a young leader, a school, a humanitarian actor, or a mental health professional — the MHR Network is your platform to connect, learn, and lead.

Join us on Wednesday, 16 April 2025, at the Permanent Mission of the Czech Republic to the UN in New York, for an interactive panel discussion on reducing inequalities in the school-to-work transition. Together with UN agencies, youth leaders, and global stakeholders, we’ll explore barriers to quality education, the impact of unpaid internships, and solutions for a more inclusive future. Whether you're attending in person or online, your voice matters.
